Meet Verouck
Verouck, affectionately known as 'Vicky' around the farm, is a 1986 purebred registered Arabian mare. She was born and bred at MSU, and her bloodlines are very heavily Polish. She was surrendered by her owner, along with
Gloriask and
Glorina. These three mares have spent the past 15 years together. After a week to settle into the routine at the farm, our initial evaluation of Vicky was VERY promising. Vicky is very sensible, and appears to be VERY well trained. She loads in the trailer, stands in cross ties, picks up all four feet, clips, bridles very well, appears to have had some Arabian halter work done with her, lunges off of voice commands, wears the saddle well, and even lunges in side reins. She is very sound, with nice movement. Her feet are in very good shape, she is easy to catch, and she has fantastic ground manners. This girl is really something special. We think she will be appropriate for beginners, and should be able to carry a full sized adult rider.
Update - She is at a very good home now and has a very dedicated partner. He is not only riding her but spends a lot of time with her. They are bonding very well.
